Novak Djokovic claimed the 20th ATP title in Dubai 2011 following a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Roger Federer in an hour and 12 minutes. Novak became the second three-time winner in the desert after Roger and defeated the Swiss for the eighth time in 21 matches.
Djokovic served well and lost only 13 points behind the initial shot. He lost serve once from two chances offered to Federer, who had to repeat those numbers to stay in touch. Instead, the Swiss lost almost half of the points in his games and got broken four times from ten chances given to the Serb.
Novak took advantage of Roger’s nearly 30 unforced errors and created the lead in the shortest and more advanced exchanges to control the pace. Djokovic moved in front in the encounter’s third game after Federer’s weak backhand.
