You may recall that he played the PGA, but he withdrew after the third round after it appeared he had some trouble with his leg earlier in the week. No word on what the reason was, but last month, Tiger Woods tweeted a statement saying he won’t be competing in the U.S. Open “as my body needs more time to get stronger for major championship golf.”
He did say he’s hoping and planning to be ready for the British Open next month.
